2020 Thanksgiving Food Drive - November 21-22

The Thanksgiving Food Drive will be held this weekend, Sat. Nov. 21 & Sun. Nov 22, at the Chapel (southwest corner of the Augustana Homes brick building behind church) - just drive up a half hour before or after Mass and a touchless drop can be made, or call the office for a drop during the week. Volunteers will be there to assist with your drop so you don't even need to exit your vehicle. Gift cards can be donated but please drop at the parish office Mon 11/16-Thrs. 11/19 10am-2pm, or give to an organizer when dropping donations at the chapel. Please do not leave any contributions unattended at any of the doors on campus for safekeeping. Your kindness & generosity are appreciated! Father James Bates announced as new parochial administrator of Saint Maurice

Bishop Caggiano has appointed Fr. James Bates as parochial administrator of Saint Maurice Parish, effective November 1, 2020. Fr. Bates will serve as parochial administrator for one year, after which, it is hoped, he will become the Pastor of Saint Maurice with a term of six years. Fr. Bates has been serving as Parochial Vicar at St. Jude in Monroe.

Confirmation Mass 2020

Congratulations to the Confirmation class of 2020 who were confirmed on Sunday, October 18, 2020 by Bishop Caggiano. First Communion Mass 2020

Congratulations to the young parishioners celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist for the first time on Saturday, September 26, 2020. We offer heartfelt prayers and blessings to the children and their families: Kaili Builes, Victoria McDonald, Joseph Faugno, Roland Olander, Angelo Vaccarezza, and John McDonald.

Congratulations to Bishop-Elect Bob Lombardo!

We wish a hearty congratulations to Fr. Bob Lombardo, native son of Saint Maurice, on his appointment by Pope Francis as one of the new auxiliary bishops of Chicago on Tuesday, September 11, 2020.

RETURN TO PUBLIC WORSHIP

As we return to Public Worship, reservations are required via online reservations or phone call to the Parish Office. As Saint Maurice returns to public worship, it is of the utmost importance these guidelines be followed.

  • Reservations are required via website or phone call to Parish Office 203.324.3434 extension 705
  • If you are sick or at high risk please do not attend
  • Single door by rectory used as Entrance to Church
  • Single door by Baptismal font as Exit from Church
  • Collection baskets are located at entrance and exit to Church
  • Face masks must be worn in Church at all times
  • Sanitize hands upon entering Church
  • Social distancing must be maintained at all times
  • Sit only in pews marked with blue tape
  • Immediate family members who live in same household may sit together in pew
  • Refrain from singing; All Mass parts will be spoken
  • At Communion… After host is placed in your hand, step aside, lower mask, consume host, replace mask and return to seat via side aisle
  • Restrooms are closed and are not accessible
  • Exit Church immediately following dismissal

  • Above all else, our return to public worship is such that we remain safe and follow the guidelines as prescribed by government officials.
